Non Profit Jobs to Grow as Economy Recovers

More organizations are planning to add non profit jobs [1] this year.
The 2011 Nonprofit Employment Trends Study from Nonprofit HR Solutions [2] and the Caster Family Center for Nonprofit and Philanthropic Research at the University of San Diego [3] found that more nonprofit organizations are adding jobs as the economy continues to recover from the economic recession.
While 40 percent of organizations said they aren't planning to create more jobs this year, 33 percent said they would create more positions, while 27 percent said they would consider hiring new employees. This is good news for the many out-of-work job seekers looking for nonprofit gigs [4].
The nonprofit sectors expected to add the most jobs this year include:
What's even more reassuring than the large number of nonprofits planning to create jobs this year is that the majority of organizations also said they do not plan make layoffs, cut existing positions, or freeze hiring during 2011.
